Florida Citrus Sports and Pop-Tarts have teamed up to present the Pop-Tarts ‘Crazy Good’ Play of the Week during the 2024-25 college football season, with each week's play selected in conjunction with the Football Writers Association of America. Texas A&M is the winner of the Pop-Tarts Crazy Good Play of the Week for Week 6.

Freshman Focus: First-year player, coach preview
The Football Writers Association of America has released a list of top candidates for the Steve Spurrier First-Year Coach of the Year Award, Freshman Player of the Year and the 2024 FWAA Freshman All-America Team. The Steve Spurrier First-Year Coach Award, presented by Chris Doering Mortgage, goes to the best first-year coach (at his school) in FBS football. The recipients of the Steve Spurrier First-Year Coach of the Year, the FWAA Freshman of the Year and a Spurrier Legends Coach awardee will be honored at a special reception on Feb 25 in Gainesville, Fla.
Seven repeat honorees highlight 2023 FWAA All-America Team presented by the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic
The 2023 Football Writers Association of America All-America Team, presented in partnership with the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, is highlighted by seven repeat All-Americans and a record 10 players from the four teams competing in the College Football Playoff at the front of players from 36 different schools. There are 22 schools represented from eight Football Bowl Subdivision conferences on the first team and all 10 conferences plus an Independent are included on the overall 54-man team.

FWAA unveils 2022 Freshman All-America Team
DALLAS (FWAA) – North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye was the toast of Atlantic Coast Conference quarterbacks this season, throwing for 38 touchdowns and leading the league in passing yards (4,321) and total touchdowns (45). For his dynamic efforts that led the Tar Heels (9-5) to the ACC’s Coastal Division title, the Football Writers Association of America awarded him as its Freshman Player of the Year presented by Chris Doering Mortgage.

Houston Chronicle's Zwerneman claims FWAA Beat Writer of the Year Award
The college football story of the year in 2021 broke in July during Southeastern Conference Media Days, but the story had nothing to do with the schools currently in the league. It had everything to do with two Big 12 Conference schools – Texas and Oklahoma – headed to the SEC in the future. It has been a bombshell story that has sent tremors through the college sports landscape and has even changed future conference affiliations outside the SEC in recent months. An earthquake basically. And the reporter who broke that story, the Houston Chronicle's Brent Zwerneman, was an easy choice for the FWAA's Steve Ellis Beat Writer of the Year Award.
